Ticket to Ride is a great game for 2-5 players involving players to build routes from city to city by trains. It’s a great game to start friends and family off who haven’t played a lot of more strategy type games. It’s easy to understand and a blast to play, plus it helps you learn your USA geography [wink, wink]. My family and friends tend to pull this game out frequently as it’s re-play value is super high. It’s definitely one to add to your game collection.
Here’s the basic idea of the game. Players choose routes to complete on a map of the United States (with some cities in Canada), they gather colored train cards to complete routes and mark which routes are theirs by placing down your colors trains. You continue collecting cards to claim your routes until a person has 2 or less trains. You then count up your points as you played, that you scored from routes, and the bonus of having the longest connected train and if you have the most points by the end your are the Ticket to Ride winner! Woo Hoo!
It’s a super fun game and definitely one of my favorites. It’s a must own for sure.
